Q
How do I register for IELTS from Bangladesh?
Registration
Registration depends on the official test provider (IDP / British Council / etc). Most students register online and select: test type (Academic/GT), test format (computer/paper), date, venue, then payment.
Tip: Confirm your name spelling and ID details before paying. ভুল name = later headache.
Q
Passport লাগে নাকি NID দিয়েও IELTS দেওয়া যায়?
Registration
Provider/venue policy can vary. Many students use passport; some places accept NID.
Best practice: Register with the same ID you will carry on exam day (usually Passport). Mismatch হলে entry problem হতে পারে.
Q
Academic vs General Training — which one do I need?
Test Format
Academic is usually for university/masters/PhD applications. General Training is often for migration or certain job routes.
Rule: Ask your university/immigration requirement first. “Guess” করলে wrong exam হয়ে যায়.
Q
IELTS exam e kon kon module thake? order ki?
Test Format
4 modules: Listening, Reading, Writing (same day) + Speaking (same day or another day). Speaking schedule depends on the center.
Q
Overall 6.5 মানে skill-wise কত লাগতে পারে?
Band & Score
Overall is the average of the four skills (rounded by IELTS rules). Many universities also ask for minimum in each skill (e.g., NBLT 6).
Always check: “Overall + each band requirement”. Overall is not everything.
Q
Band 6–6.5 e stuck. Why?
Band & Score
Usually not “practice কম” issue. It’s:
  • Repeated mistakes not corrected (no evaluation loop)
  • Task response & coherence weak (writing/speaking)
  • Exam logic misunderstood (question types / timing)
  • Pressure control weak (panic → careless errors)
That’s exactly why STEP-UP exists: system + exam-style corrections.
Q
Computer-based IELTS naki paper-based? Which is better?
Computer-based
Better depends on you. If typing speed decent + you like editing quickly → computer-based helps. If typing weak → computer-based can hurt writing performance.
Reality: Many BD students struggle শুধু typing er jonno. Fix typing first, then choose.
Q
Computer-based e ki highlight / copy paste করা যায়?
Computer-based
Most platforms allow highlighting text and basic navigation tools. Exact features vary by provider/test software.
Never rely on “someone said feature X exists”. Practice with official-style mocks.
Q
IELTS er preparation e koto time লাগে?
Preparation
Depends on your current level + target. Rough reality:
  • Basics weak → foundation needs time (ZERO first)
  • Band 6 target → structure + question types matter
  • Band 7+ → precision + evaluation cycle needed
Timeline is not magic. System + feedback loop = faster result.
Q
Daily routine kemon hobe? (BD student schedule)
Preparation
Don’t do “everything everyday” randomly. Do a weekly system: 1–2 skills per day + review day.
Want the exact routine? Use LizOn roadmap pages (Listening/Reading/Writing/Speaking).
Q
Result koto din e ashe? TRF ki?
Result / TRF
Result time depends on test format/provider (computer-based usually faster than paper-based). TRF = Test Report Form (your official score report).
Exact days can change — always check your provider’s current policy.
Q
IELTS score / TRF validity কতদিন?
Result / TRF
Many institutions treat IELTS scores as valid for 2 years, but specific requirements vary.
Always follow your university/visa requirement. Some accept older, some don’t.
Q
Reading e line line Bangla translate kori — problem?
Common Mistakes
Yes. Translation makes you slow and kills accuracy under time. IELTS reading needs scanning + keyword logic + paraphrase recognition.
Fix: Train “English thinking” + passage navigation system.
Q
Listening e subtitle chara bujhi na — what should I do?
Common Mistakes
IELTS listening is not “100% understanding” test. It’s an attention + prediction + answer-capture test.
Fix: Part-wise strategy + question type mastery.
Q
Speaking e memorized answer দিলে band কমে?
Common Mistakes
Memorization risks unnatural delivery and mismatch with question. Examiners want real-time response, coherence, and control.
Safe strategy: Learn structures + expansion methods, not scripts.
Q
Writing Task 2 e idea ashe na — what now?
Common Mistakes
Idea problem is usually structure problem. You need a repeatable planning method: position → 2 reasons → examples → result.
Fix: HOPE (structure) → STEP-UP (precision) path works best.
Q
Which LizOn course should I start with?
Choose Level
Choose by symptom:
  • Basics / confidence weak → ZERO
  • Question types + structure unstable → HOPE
  • Band 6–6.5 stuck → STEP-UP
  • Final attempt / short time → DESPERATE
